Rally in Support of Whycocomagh Park Staff – Whycocomagh Fire Hall – Saturday, March 21, 11-1pm

You may have heard about the devastating cuts the provincial government has made to provincial park and visitor information centre staff with cuts to 58 seasonal positions across the province along with the closure of two Visitor Information Centres. They plan to replace staff with machines.

NSGEU members and the public have been speaking up about what these cuts mean to rural communities and the park and tourism experience in Nova Scotia.
People in the community of Whycocomagh who are concerned about the cuts to park staff have organized a rally and we are encouraging all members to attend if you are able:
Place: Whycocomagh Fire Hall
 Date: Saturday, March 21, 2015
Time: 11-1pm
(There will be tea, coffee, baked goods and snacks!)

If there is a forecast for bad weather, please check the NSGEU website to ensure the event is going ahead as planned. We will also send you a cancellation notice by email and post it on our NSGEU Facebook page.
