Standing Room only at Local 34 Northwood Emergency Meeting Sunday night, Feb. 23

Home support workers packed a meeting at the NSGEU Conference Centre on Sunday night. NSGEU members of Local 34 are standing united for parity with those workers who do the same job in hospital settings. A strike is always the last option and not something that any worker wants to do. Unfortunately, it is something that members have to do sometimes to achieve a fair contract. The picket captains are organized and are calling the members in their picket lines to make sure everyone is ready to begin the strike on Friday morning if necessary.
