You’re invited! Labour Town Hall Meetings

NSGEU members are invited to participate in a series of town hall meetings being held throughout the province over the coming weeks.

The Canadian Labour Congress and the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour, which NSGEU is affiliated with, are hosting the meetings, inviting unionized workers to come and participate in these sessions, so they can open up a dialogue about worker’s rights; past, present and future.

It is very important that NSGEU members attend these meetings so our voices are heard.

If you live in the area, please make every effort to attend. And please share this information with your fellow members.

The final session will be held on:

  • Wednesday, February 27 – Yarmouth at the Rodd Grand – 6:30 p.m.

The town hall scheduled for Stellarton had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. Will it be rescheduled, or has that been ruled out?

Hi Tammy, thank you for your question! I believe you’re correct… Unfortunately, this was not an event that the NSGEU coordinated — it was put on by the Canadian Labour Congress and the N.S. Federation of Labour — so I’m not really sure if they plan to reschedule. I would suggest getting in touch with the NSFL at

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help!
