2023 Nursing Leadership and Practice Premiums Arbitration Award – Update

In the communication that went out on March 26, the union advised that it was successful in the arbitration regarding 2023 Nursing and Leadership Practice Premiums.

We are pleased to let you know that the employers have completed the reviews for the majority of the applications that were received by October 31, 2023.

For the affected IWK nurses, the employer has advised that these applications have been reviewed, and most were paid out in May 2025.

For the affected NSH nurses, the employer has advised that these applications have been reviewed, and most will be paid out on June 12 or 26, 2025.

The union has asked the employers to return applications as approved or denied to all 2023 applicants, for each individual to be aware of their own status.
