Group Home Sector Vote Results
We are pleased to announce that members have voted 97 per cent in favour of the union’s recommendation to accept classification adjustments and/or wage increases for Residential Support Workers or equivalent classifications, and a one-year extension of your collective agreement.
The union will now move to sign the requisite Memorandums of Agreement with government and employers as soon as possible, in an effort to ensure eligible members receive their retroactive pay and wage increases can come into effect as soon as possible.
We will keep you updated on this process as new information becomes available to us.
Thank you for the important work you do, and for your support throughout this process. We are hopeful that the classification adjustment and wage increases approved by the membership will go a long way towards addressing long-standing recruitment and retention issues in your sector. Rest assured we will negotiate for continued improvements in future rounds of bargaining.
