Join the Fight for $15 in Sydney

You’re Invited: Meeting on Employment Insurance and the Fight for $15!

When: Tuesday, December 1st at 6:30 pm

Where: The Grand Lake Fire Hall, 850 Grand Lake Road, Sydney

The newly elected federal Liberal government made some major promises to fix Employment Insurance. Now it’s time to hold them to their promises. The NSFL will be campaigning across the province to raise the issue and pressure the government to take action.

Additionally, we are launching the Fight for $15 campaign in Cape Breton. The Fight for $15 is an international campaign for a $15 minimum wage. The best way to improve the Cape Breton economy is to increase people’s wages. A $15 minimum wage would be life altering for thousands of workers across Cape Breton and Nova Scotia.

Join the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour and Cape Breton District Labour Council for an important meeting on these issues. The goal of the town hall is to provide information and plan actions to fight for changes to EI and a $15 minimum wage.
