Emergency Meeting & Vote Scheduled

Sunday, 7 p.m. at the NSGEU office in the Conference Centre.

Dear member of Local 34

Contract negotiations with your employer have broken off. Your Bargaining Committee is recommending rejection of the employer’s offer.

We are holding an emergency meeting Sunday, February 9th at 7 p.m. at the NSGEU Conference Centre located at 255 John Savage Ave in Burnside.

If the employer’s offer is rejected by 50%+1 of the people who show up to vote, the conciliator will be filing his report and a countdown to a strike will begin.

Please make every effort to attend this meeting on Sunday evening. If you cannot stay for the whole meeting, please come and vote. Your vote will determine whether you have an agreement or you are in a countdown to a strike.

President Joan Jessome, along with your Bargaining Committee and your ERO will be at the meeting to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
