Rally in Support of Cleaners at the National Research Council (NRC)

The National Research Council (NRC), an agency of the Federal Government, has decided to throw its cleaning staff out onto the street. Effective July 1st, unionized staff at the NCR offices in Halifax will be replaced by a non union contractor that pays poverty wages and doesn’t provide employment benefits.

These workers are members of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). The NSGEU and the SEIU both belong to the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour.

We support these workers and hope you come out and join SEIU Local 2 at this important rally to get Justice for Janitors!
