Monday, January 23rd marks ONE YEAR on strike for Halifax Typographical Union. There will be lunch-hour rallies held province-wide to mark the date… Please join in!
Quality journalism is a fundamental part of our society and democracy. Having 60+ experienced, qualified reporters, photographers and newsroom staff marching in the streets for a year, rather than contributing to our region’s “newspaper of record” is a true shame. We ALL need to show our support for these workers as they stand up to an employer who refuses to negotiate fairly. These workers simply want to maintain what they have, and we can certainly relate to this struggle. Here are the rally details:
