Important message regarding scheduling changes for Local 36-Antigonish & Area Homemaker Service

Dear Member,

Recently you would have received a notice from your employer regarding changes they are making to scheduling, in particular scheduling CCAs one (1) Indirect Service Hour of paperwork per week and four (4) Direct Service Hours per week instead of five (5) Indirect Service Hours.

Late last year your employer requested a Memo of Understanding (MOU) to make these changes and, following consultation with your local, we declined to sign an MOU.

Since then your employer has decided to make these changes unilaterally. The NSGEU will be seeking a legal consultation from our lawyers regarding next steps and will update you all once more is known.
