Join the HSE Committee in Steps For Life
Steps For Life is the flagship fundraiser for the Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, known as Threads for Life. This unique Canadian charity supports the healing journey of families who have suffered from a workplace fatality, traumatic life-altering injury, or occupational disease.
The NSGEU Health Safety and Environment Committee (HSE) has supported this cause for several years. The HSE committee will be taking part in this year’s 5k walk on May 3, at Point Pleasant Park. All money raised stays local and supports families of victims of workplace illness injury or death in our area. Registration starts at 10 am on site.
We are asking for members to join and take part in this worthy event. The HSE team’s name is Guardians of the Workplace. They have set up a donation site on the Steps for Life Portal for those who wish to join the team for the walk and donate .
