The NSGEU Offices will be closed for Labour Day.

Every year, union members, families, and supporters come together on Labour Day to reflect and celebrate the workers’ rights we have won and the workers’ struggles we have overcome and to face together the challenges that lie ahead.

Labour Day will be celebrated on Monday, September 7, 2020.

This year workers face new challenges in light of the pandemic. Most events will be celebrated online. Here is a listing of both online and in-person events occurring over the Labour Day Weekend across Nova Scotia.

SeaLight SkyLight is the Deanery Project’s signature family-friendly summer event celebrating the land, sea and the night sky.

This year celebrates the 6th anniversary of the family-friendly event, which will host live music, educational workshops, and entertainment, while maintaining strict COVID protocol guidelines.

The Deanery Project is located 65 Km east of Halifax, 50 Km west of Sheet Harbour, and 91 km (1.5 hour drive) from Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
