Local 64 – Colchester Residential Services Society Reopener Proposal: Information Sessions & Vote

Dear member,

As you know, we recently concluded a tentative agreement with your employer, which was successfully ratified. However, your employer recently approached us to discuss potentially reopening the agreement to improve your existing RRSP plan and extend the agreement until October 31st, 2023, with the following proposals:

  1. Each permanent employee shall contribute to the Group Registered Retirement Plan (RRSP). The matched contribution rate shall increase to 6% effective November 1, 2021 and 7% effective October 31, 2023.
  2. Wage increases: November 1, 2021 – 1.5% – November 1, 2022 – 1.5%
  3. Memorandum of Understanding – Year 7 and 8 Increases

Any general economic wage increase or shift differential or weekend premium increase that applies to a NSGEU Disability Support Program Residential Sector Collective Agreement in the province of Nova Scotia in excess of a 1.5% general economic wage increase in year 7 and/or year 8 will be applied to this Agreement.

The meetings and votes will be held as follows:

WHEN: Thursday, February 13th, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Friday, February 14th, 2020 from 9 a.m. – 12 noon

WHERE: NSGEU Truro Office – 120 Esplanade Street
