Local 97 – CDHA Nurses – Cheques for Disciplined Nurses
In recognition of the outstanding courage demonstrated by Local 97 RN’s who took illegal job action on behalf of all health care and community service workers, standing up against the government’s Bill 37 – Essential Health & Community Services Act, the NSGEU’s Board of Directors passed a motion to make a financial contribution of $250 to each of the members who have been harshly disciplined by Capital Health for standing up to protect workers’ rights.
The $250 cheques are being mailed out early this week. If you do not receive one, and you are one of the nurses who has been disciplined for your role in the job action of April 1st, 2014, please contact the NSGEU by calling 424-4063 (1-877-556-7438) or emailing inquiry@nsgeu.ca.
Nurses of Local 97 showed up and stood up. The NSGEU stands with you!
Thank you.
