Local 97 – CDHA Nurses Important telephone town hall meetings!

We are outraged by Capital Health’s unprecedented decision to take such excessive and unfair action against their own staff, and plan to grieve each and every disciplinary action that is handed out. We also plan to offer support and assistance in other ways, and want to speak with you about next steps. We also want to discuss the upcoming restructuring of the District Health Authorities and update you on the status of bargaining.

The NSGEU will be holding a conference call for all nurses of Local 97 on Tuesday, May 27^th and Wednesday May 28^th starting at 8 p.m.

NSGEU President Joan Jessome will be hosting the call, and she will be joined by NSGEU’s Directors of Negotiations & Servicing and Local 97’s Employee Relations Officer.

Participating in a telephone town hall meeting is easy. We will call you between 8:00 and 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. During the meeting, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and make comments, just like on a radio call-in show. The meeting will last about an hour, but you can leave at any time simply by hanging up.

Please make every effort to participate in one of these calls, particularly if you are one of the nurses who faces disciplinary action.
