NSGEU Nova Scotia Council of Health Administrative Professionals – Strike Vote 2023

Your bargaining unit, Health Administrative Professionals is currently holding an electronic STRIKE vote.

If you are one of those who have already voted THANK YOU!  Spread the word! Every vote matters.

If you are someone who hasn’t voted yet, please do so at your earliest convenience. Did you receive your Voter information package? If not, please search your junk mail/spam folders for an email from voterinfo@intelivote.com . If you are unable to find the email, call the NSGEU HELPLINE at 902-424-4063 or toll-free at 1-877-556-7438 for assistance, and we will be able to arrange a PIN number for you which will allow you to e-vote. The NSGEU can take your calls Monday- Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

You have until 4 p.m. on June 16th to cast your ballot, but there is no need to wait!

We have all heard it before, every vote matters, this is especially true in a STRIKE vote. During a STIKE vote the results are calculated as a percentage of the total membership, not just a percentage of those who voted. In short, a non-vote is a no-vote in the final tally.

It is also important to understand what a STRIKE means. Your bargaining unit has turned down the employer’s offer. A strong STRIKE vote gives your bargaining team a much stronger position once they return to the bargaining table. A vote to STRIKE does not mean that you will be walking a picket line next week. A strong vote to STRIKE is a powerful message to your employer and will help raise public awareness of the issues with Nova Scotians. At times, a strong STRIKE vote is the quickest route to getting a deal.
