Local 71 – Chignecto-Central Centre for Education – Bargaining Update: Conciliation has broken down
Dear members of Local 71,
After three days at the table, the conciliation process has broken down. Employer concessions remain on the table as well as our proposals. We were not able to reach an agreement with the Employer.
We have asked the Conciliation Officer to file her report.
When this report is filed it triggers a two week countdown to the date on which we are legally able to strike. During this two week period, we remain open to talks with the Employer.
Please watch for further updates and thank you for your solidarity and support.
If you have any questions, please contact any member for your Bargaining Committee or the NSGEU at inquiry@nsgeu.ca
