Sign the petition! Tell Dalhousie to keep their commitment to Truro and keep the Agricultural Campus Daycare Centre open!
Dalhousie has announced they will be closing its daycare centre at the Agricultural Campus in Truro. The Agricultural Campus Daycare Centre has been operating for over 20 years and provides quality child care services for employees of the University and the surrounding community. When Dalhousie merged with the Agricultural college in 2012, they made a commitment to honour the historic relationship between the university and the community. The Agricultural Campus Daycare Centre is an integral part of this commitment.
There are four NSGEU members who have been providing these valuable childcare services at the Campus and will be losing their jobs – good jobs – which will impact their families as well as the local Truro economy.
Members of the community have started a petition to pressure the Dalhousie Administration to keep the daycare centre open.
Please take a few minutes to sign this petition.
