Cancelled due to weather – A Celebration of Porters Lake Provincial Park – Sunday, March 22, 2015 at noon
Cancelled due to expected weather:
The Friends of Porters Lake Provincial Park are holding “A Celebration of Porters Lake Provincial Park” and we are encouraging all members to attend if you are able:
Place: Porter’s Lake Community Centre
Trunk 7, Porters Lake
Date: Sunday, March 22, 2015
Time: 12 – 1pm
You may have heard about the devastating cuts the provincial government has made to provincial park and visitor information centre staff with cuts to 58 seasonal positions across the province along with the closure of two Visitor Information Centres. They plan to replace staff with machines.
NSGEU members and the public have been speaking up about what these cuts mean to rural communities and the park and tourism experience in Nova Scotia.
For more information and for campaign information about how you can help raise your voice against cuts and privatization of public services, please visit:www.whatwillyoulose.ca
