LPN Retro Pay Related to Reclassification
After consulting with legal counsel following an earlier arbitration decision seeking retro for IWK LPNs from March 2022, we received the legal opinion that existing outstanding grievances related to this matter would be not successful at arbitration.
As a result, all unions party to such outstanding grievances have decided to withdraw these grievances.
This clearly was not the outcome we had hoped for on this matter. We have been fighting this issue for more than two years now, and this is an unfortunate conclusion to the case.
You can read the entire decision here.
If you have any questions regarding this notice, please contact the union at inquiry@nsgeu.ca or by calling 902-424-4063 (toll-free 1-877-556-7438).
