Council of Health Care Unions Bargaining Update: Tentative Agreement Reached

The Council of Health Care Unions reached a tentative agreement with the IWK and the Nova Scotia Health Authority following 15 days of bargaining.

The deal was concluded at 430 am Friday morning following a marathon day of bargaining. The Unions will prepare a comprehensive ratification package and will provide those details to members early next week. The Unions will also conduct town hall meetings to explain the tentative agreement and answer any questions. The ratification vote will start next week and run for seven days.

The Council bargaining committee is made up of ten members from across the province representing NSGEU, CUPE and Unifor. The Committee is recommending that the 9,000-person bargaining unit vote to accept the tentative agreement.
