Local 73 – Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education Bargaining Update
As you know, AVRCE called your bargaining committee back to the table today, October 11, in order to continue negotiations in an effort to avoid a pending strike. Following a long day and night of negotiations, a tentative agreement was reached just before midnight. Your bargaining committee will be recommending acceptance of this tentative agreement
The strike planned for this Thursday will now be put on hold in order for your local to proceed with a new ratification vote on the employer’s updated offer.
The details of the offer will be sent to you during the day on Thursday, October 13. A telephone town hall will be held that same evening where details of the agreement will be explained.
