Local 79 – Strike Vote Called as Union Heads to Conciliation

The Union and Employer met on February 11, 2013 with a conciliation officer in an effort to reach a tentative agreement.  A tentative agreement was not reached. Therefore your Bargaining Committee is bringing the Employer’s best offer to members for a vote and are recommending very strongly that members vote to reject the Employer’s best offer.

Please attend one of the information sessions scheduled for Friday, February 15th to get the information you need to vote. The Bargaining Committee, Chief Negotiator Tina Webber and President Jessome will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Voting will run from 12 noon to 3:30 pm on Friday.
