Local 93 Special Local Meeting

Date:        Wednesday, July 30, 2014

Time:        6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Location:  NSGEU, Truro Office, 188 Robie Street

Members unable to attend a meeting involving nominations may nominate or be nominated in writing.

The member shall forward the nomination or acceptance of a nomination in writing to a member of the Executive Board prior to such meeting.

Any member voting in an election must be a member in good standing at least two weeks before the election is to take place.

Section B12 – Union Elections – Absolute Majority and Second ballot System of Voting

B12.1          All elections for union office shall be conducted in accordance with the absolute majority and second-ballot system of voting.

B12.2          Nominations for office may be accepted from any member who is eligible to vote and present at the meeting called for that purpose.

B12.3          Nominees must either be present and indicate their willingness to stand for election or, if absent, have indicated in writing their willingness to stand for election.

Therefore, let it be known that Local 93 has vacancies for the following committees

Agenda:

• Election of Bargaining Committee Representatives
• Election of Treasurer
• Election of Secretary
• Any vacant Regional Council & Alternate position
• DHA Restructuring Update
• New Business
