Union Meets With Department of Community Services Senior Staff
NSGEU President Sandra Mullen and staff members representing Social Workers and Access Support Workers met with DCS senior staff and the Deputy Minister of Community Services yesterday to discuss on-going safety and workload concerns brought forward by our members working in Child Protection.
It was a productive meeting and the employer seemed receptive to the issues raised.
The union expects to hear back from the Department in the coming weeks to discuss what steps that have been taken to address these historic concerns as well as to determine a plan going forward.
Please watch your email for further updates.
If you have any questions please reach out to the union by email at inquiry@nsgeu.ca, or call 902-424-4063.
