Labour Day, Monday, September 1, 2025 – NSGEU Offices Closed
Happy Labour Day!
Labour Day is more than just a long weekend. It’s a day to recognize and celebrate the contributions of workers across our province and country. It’s a day to reflect on the hard-won rights and protections that unions have fought for, such as the minimum wage, paid vacation, maternity leave and workplace safety standards.
The NSGEU is proud to represent over 38,000 members who provide vital public services every single day.
This Labour Day, let’s recommit to the principles of solidarity and collective action. By standing together, we can continue to build a fairer and more equitable society for everyone.
Have a safe and happy Labour Day long weekend.
