Local 53 – Halifax Regional Centre for Education COVID-19 Cases at Graham Creighton, Auburn High
Dear members,
We understand that individuals at Graham Creighton Junior High School and Auburn High School have tested positive for COVID-19.
This is an unnerving time for all of us, and this is stark reminder that despite the relative safety we have all enjoyed over the summer months here in the Atlantic bubble, this virus is still present in our communities.
We wanted to reach out to let you know that your union is here to support you. If you feel that you are not receiving the appropriate level of PPE or other appropriate safety measures are not being taken within your workplace, please reach out to a member of your OH&S committee and advise us by emailing inquiry@nsgeu.ca or calling 1-877-556-7438.
We appreciate the valuable role you are playing in our schools, and know that you are doing this work under even more difficult conditions than normal. Thank you.
