Local 67 – Veith House Bargaining Update: Conciliation Breaks Down
Good afternoon,
Talks between your employer and bargaining committee unfortunately concluded today, with the employer advising they will provide you with their final offer on Wednesday, December 2nd. Your bargaining committee is aware of the details of the final offer, and will be recommending rejection of this offer.
The biggest issue of contention is that your employer does not want to provide retroactivity on wages. This means they are only offering wage increases on a go-forward basis.
A special meeting of the local will be held on Tuesday, December 7th at noon at Veith House, where you will be able to view the offer, vote, and determine next steps.
Please make every effort to attend this meeting and help spread the word among your co-workers.
