Local 97 – CDHA Nurses – Strike Notice Filed, Mediation Continues!
We have filed the 48-hour notice required by the Labour Board, which means we will be in a legal strike position as of 12:01 a.m. Thursday, April 3rd.
This does not mean we are going on strike, either legally or illegally. This is simply a step the union must take in order to be put in a legal position to go on strike, if we are forced to go in that direction. This does NOT mean mediation has broken down: we are still at the table, and are hopeful we can reach an agreement with your employer.
We will be in touch later today via email and telephone to advise you of the status of mediation. Please stay tuned.
