LPN Reclassification Update
Good afternoon,
We understand that information has been shared prematurely online regarding the application of the 12 per cent wage increase for Licensed Practical Nurses.
The NSGEU is still working with Nova Scotia Health and the IWK on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to ensure you receive the wage increase in a timely manner. We will provide an update and further details once that MOA is finalized.
We also maintain our position that all LPNs should be getting the same 12 per cent increase back to the initial March 2014 date, and will continue to pursue this through the grievance process.
For all CCRAs and ORTs, we also continue to advocate for the pay increase to be extended to you, as well, although employers to date are refusing.
