Upcoming Pride Events
Good afternoon,
The NSGEU’s Human Rights Committee is asking any members who are interested in getting involved with one of the Pride events being hosted in Halifax, Cape Breton and Yarmouth next month.
Halifax Pride runs from August 12th to 22nd. They are looking for people to assist with:
- Event set-up
- COVID safety support
- Tech trainers for community members
- Merchandise sales
- Set-up/clean-up for various events
If you’re interested in helping out with Halifax Pride, please visit https://www.halifaxpride.com/volunteer
Cape Breton Pride runs from August 5th to 12th. If you are interested in volunteering for that event, please visit https://www.pridecb.com/support-us.
Finally, there will be a Pride event in Yarmouth, although the dates of that event have not yet been announced. Check http://www.yarmouthpride.ca/ for updates.
If you aren’t able to volunteer, we hope you’ll be able to participate in Pride events with your family and friends!
