Zoom Meeting on Contracting Out of Health Information Services Jobs
Good afternoon,
Are you one of the 91 employees (51 of whom are NSGEU members) affected by Nova Scotia Health’s plan to contract out Health Information Systems work to Iron Mountain?
We have scheduled a Zoom meeting for Tuesday, January 12th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to discuss the steps the union has taken to oppose the plan to contract out your work, and what we plan to do next. (Please see the story on this issue that ran in The Chronicle Herald yesterday, as well as President Jason MacLean’s opinion piece).
The meeting will be chaired by NSGEU President Jason MacLean, and a number of staff will also be in attendance to answer your questions.
If you are an NSGEU member affected by this plan and would like to join the meeting, please contact the Resource Centre at inquiry@nsgeu.ca and they will provide you with the details.
We look forward to speaking with you on Tuesday.
