? Heroes Unmasked: Call for Nominations
The last 18 months has been somber and surreal. Between the COVID-19 pandemic, the horrific mass shooting in Portapique, and a host of other tragic events that have punctuated this period of time, 2020/2021 has been very difficult and uncertain for all of us.
Through it all, Nova Scotians have done what they do best: support and care for one another.
Our members are certainly no exception. We are proud to represent almost 32,000 workers in this province, who deliver valuable public services that we have all relied on during our darkest times.
Now, we’re asking for you to help us with a special project.
We want you to tell us about one of your fellow NSGEU members who has gone above and beyond since March 2020. Nominate one of your coworkers who has done an exceptional job over the last 18 months – either within the workplace or in the community at large – and deserves to be featured in our upcoming campaign! We are seeking people from all different occupational groupings (not just health care), so no matter where you work, we’d like to hear from you.
Nominations will be reviewed by a committee at the NSGEU, and anyone chosen for the campaign will receive a prize package and will be featured in our province-wide campaign to highlight just how amazing our members are!
Any NSGEU member who completes the nomination form will also be entered into a draw for a chance to win one of two $500 VISA gift cards. Nomination forms must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, October 15th, and members may nominate more than one person, but the nominator will only receive one entry into the prize draw.
We look forward to receiving your nominations, and hearing all about your awesome coworkers! Thank you for the work that you do on behalf of all Nova Scotians.
