Local 50 – Sherbrooke Village – Bargaining Update: July 26

Dear Local 50 members,

As you are aware, the Employer presented their final offer on July 20 which was unacceptable to your Bargaining Committee as it did not address key issues of importance to the membership, including wages, job security, and length of season.

As a result, talks broke off and the union applied for the assistance of a Conciliation Officer to help achieve an agreement.

A Conciliation Officer has been appointed and we are awaiting dates for conciliation. Conciliation Officers work to try to resolve the differences between the parties in order to reach an agreement.

We will be looking for your continued solidarity and support as we continue to pursue a fair collective agreement. Thank you and please watch for further updates as we decide our next steps.
