After years of living without extended health benefits, cleaners at the TD Centre were going to celebrate Canada Day by finally starting to qualify for them.

But a very un-Canadian thing is happening. Despite cleaning the offices of one of the wealthiest companies in the country, the workers are being thrown out of the building.

Property management has decided to bring in a non-union company.

Nova Scotians need good jobs with benefits!

Join us as we demand the cleaners keep their jobs at the TD Centre and their collective agreement respected!

SHAME!

TD earned $2.06 billion for the quarter ending Jan.31. Revenue totaled $7.61 billion. www.cbc.ca/news/business/td-hikes-dividend-as-profit-tops-2-billion-1.2973175

Please note: The NSGEU will not be covering any time off or expenses relating to this voluntary event.
