Solidarity Rally for IATSE: Tuesday, July 28th
IATSE Local 849 has been in a protracted fight with local commercial producer Egg Films, while dealing with the Liberal government’s gutting of the Film Tax Credit. They are currently holding their Mid-Summer General Executive Board meeting at the Westin Hotel in Halifax with over 200 delegates from all over Canada and the U.S. in attendance.
They are holding a solidarity rally in support of Local 849 tomorrow (Tuesday, July 28th) at 12:30 p.m. in front of the Westin Hotel, and would appreciate our support. If you work in the downtown area and are able to take a few minutes over your lunch break to attend in a show of solidarity, it would be appreciated by all.
