Administrative Professionals’ Day: April 24th
Administrative Professionals’ Day: April 24th
Dear members,
Here at the NSGEU, we believe that Administrative Professionals are at the heart of public service in Nova Scotia: their dedication and excellence are integral to the delivery of the quality services people rely on every day.
According to Marguerite Cassin, a Professor of Public Policy and Management at Dalhousie University’s School of Public Administration:
“Clerical/administrative work is essential to making organizations work. It is conceptualized as routine, and is largely invisible until it is not done. Then things fall apart.”
We could not agree more.
The NSGEU represents over 6,000 Administrative Professionals throughout the province. During Administrative Professionals’ week (April 21 to 27) and Administrative Professionals’ Day (April 24), we want to ensure we recognize the valuable role they play in our workplaces and communities.
So, thank you for the work that you do for all Nova Scotians!
In solidarity,
Joan Jessome
President, NSGEU
